Hi all, doing a bit of spring cleaner of my RR and in the rear tyre well, down the side of the battery, I found this plastic 'thing' and I have no idea what it is? Looking at it closely it appears to have month/year info and I am hoping it is telling me how old my battery is, any ideas? (pictures in gallery) _______________________________________________

I'm not sure what it is, but the date is a date of manufacture of the part. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Yeah and because I found it in the same place as the battery I was hoping it was an indication of the age of the battery as I cant tell from looking at the battery terminal. I think I am just going to change the battery anyway as a point of maintenance.  _______________________________________________
