Has anyone had their DPF deleted on their L405? I'm curious how its affected the car if any? any issue with MOT etc?

Ask Velocity AP about their tune.

In the UK if it's not there it will certainly fail the MOT if it's supposed to have one.

Some places will remove it, gut the insides, and refit it so to the naked eye it appears intact, but the emissions will clearly show an increase in particulates.

Whether that increase puts it over the limit I can't say, depends on the individual car.

However, defeating such devices that are there for stopping smoking diesels and poisoning our children is a little unethical and does not serve the public good.

Better to maintain the DFP correctly and you'll see no problems with it.

Yes will fail MOT if the tester looks for evidence its been removed / tampered with. Welded areas on the boxes where the DPF should be are a sure sign.

As for smoke they all passed the MOT easy enough. Never had any issues. X5 40d

depends on what side of the 'save the planet' argument you are on.

Me personally.. dont really see the point. +1 on looking after my grandkids in any way possible. Just look after the DPF in the first place.
