Hi all

Can somebody please confirm the service requirements for a 56 plate TDV8 please? I would like to know what mileage / ages the services are needed, what type of service is needed at those mileages / dates and what is involved in each please?

I have a service book which shows every 6 months for a diesel or every 12 months for a V8, is 6 months correct for a relatively new age car where its common to see extended durations between services?

My service book is 2001 I think I have the wrong one. Anyone know where I can download one to compare?

I have had a 56 plate TDV8 for two years now and have only had to do an oil inspection though I only do 7500 miles a year Paul

Do you know when the last service was done?

If it was less than 12000-15000 miles ago you should have service indicator message/warning light that will illuminate once you approach that amount of mileage since the last service.

Officially I think Land Rover recommend that kind of mileage between services - or - once a year (whichever occurs sooner).

Personally I would wait until the service indicator lights up before needing to spend lots of money on servicing it once a year - providing you take care of your car, regulalry checking levels etc - and don't drive it too hard - you won't be doing anything wrong IMO.
