Like many, i have experienced the water in fuel message popping up randomly, but only during wet weather. I have researched the various posts and fiddled with connectors to no avail. The message hasn't come up for a few weeks during the dry spell, but yesterday I splashed through the only puddle for miles around and it immediately popped up again. By no means a dramatic splash, not over the bonnet, nearside only. So what could the water be hitting low down to set this off? Dodgy chassis earth connector in wheel arch? Just unplug the connector from the sensor on the bottom of the filter, bit of Vaseline around the connector and plug it back on
