Hi All,

I have a 2004 L322 Range Rover Vogue TD6 with BMW running gear. I want to buy the most comprehensive diagnostic tool for L322's as she is getting on a bit and is beginning to develop faults. I know this has been asked many times but I want to check the latest opinion of the experts. Is the Gap Diagnostics IIDTool still the best diagnostic kit to buy for an L322?

Is there a site that lists all L322 fault codes? Especially those concerning the fuel system as I am still suffering from the "Fuel System Error" message on the dash and the engine dying without warning.

the GAP iidtool is the preferred diagnostic tool on the this and most landrover forums..

there is a list of codes in the wiki...you can also search the code on the forum and of course you can use google.. ... - .- -.

I have found a complete list of ODB2 codes for the L322 (Mk III). Shall I post this list here? How do I know if my L322 is a MK III?

My L322 has an intermittent fuel problem. The engine stops, displaying the message "Fuel System Fault" (or Error, I can't remember which), but the Check Engine Light does not light up. A squirt of EastStart gets here going and the error message disappears. So, will an error code be generated?

I did it. I bit the bullet and bought an IID TOOL BT G3. Feast your eyes! Now all I have to do is learn how to use it and interpret the values reported.

Hi All,

Having updated the tool and mobile app, I just now connected to the car. Fascinating! Dash light flashed on and off, the front of the car bounced up, clicks were sounding off and many messages ran across the status panel under the speedo. Finall it announced that the "IID Tool Ready".

I checked for all fault codes. I got rather a lot but I think the car is still safe to drive.

Now to find out what many of the faults actually are. Here is my fault log:

If its the first time in a long time that the codes have been read/cleared then I’d start by deleting all the codes and reading them again after a few days use to see if anything has come back.

If the battery voltage has ever dipped the fault codes it can log are crazy so there’s no point troubleshooting red herrings.

Some could have been there for ages and caused by a failing battery.

Hi All,

I need a bit of help with using my IID Tool (BT/G3)

1. It is an excellent tool, just a pity that my TD6 is an L322-02 in IID Tool parlance, so many items are not available.

2. In the manual, holding the phone landscape mode displays two columns. Left hand for values and the right hand for more detailed information. My IIDTOOL app only displays the one column.

3. To help fix my Fuel Inject Problem, I can set and log various parameters. However, I can save these logs and 'share' with other users. I want to be able to display these logs/graphs on my large PC monitor. The iPhone is way too small!

How can I achieve this?

4. When attempting to read the small graphs, I can't find a back button to return me to the main menu.

#3 - Sorted:

1. Login to your IID Tool.
2. Hit the 'gear wheel, bottom left of the screen
3. Select online logs
4. Click on your name
5. Now select the 'Last Log On' for your VIN
6. Select the Log you wish to export.
7. Now hit 'Download' at the bottom of the page
8. Select 'graphic' to check you have taken the readings you wanted.
9. Hit the left facing carat/arrow at the bottom right of the screen
10. Now hit the export/mail icon at the top right of the screen
11. Select the export type from the popup
12. Now send the resulting email to yourself
13. Open the email attachment on your main PC (hopefully with a large screen) and there, easy to see, is the output of your selected 'Live Values'.

#4 - Sorted:

1. When displaying your logs, tap the top of the screen and a 'back button' appears.

#2 - Haven't sorted this one yet.
