Hi Tonemalonie,

I have a 2012 Westie and have been thinking of taking the plunge but a couple of things been putting me off because the Westie has DAB and the HD Audio I've been unable to confirm whether these will still work with the new facia, also does the clock still work ?

4th question and I realise I'm being a pain now, but how much did it cost you all in and what model did you go for ?

Lee Yates (mentioned by others on this forum) did an all in price, supply and fitting for £1k. https://www.uklightmodifications.co.uk/

Rear camera works, 4x4 info works and obviously car play 😏. DAB doesn’t. But I get great sound out of a radio app via carplay. So not really missing dab.

And clock works.

How do you connect your phone ?, is it wired or Bluetooth?

The phone is connected via Bluetooth. I now need to find the best location to place the phone as I don’t want it on the dash. 1st world problems 😏

Thanks for replying, and making us aware of this supplier.
Can’t wait to get it fitted, much cheaper than buying an L405 with cracking knuckles, rusty leaking pipes and the fuel tank hanging by a thread

Just looking at that web site and they have some great looking upgrades...

Just to play devils advocate I am always a bit suspicious of a company with only a mobile phone number and web site, no land line and no address.... They also suggest messaging through Facebook which is very anonymous.

What do you do if there is a problem, they can easily ignore you and you will never find out who or where they are..

I share your thoughts Pete, but more details given on the deposit invoice.
I will report back on quality of work etc., just far too big a job for me to tackle single handed on the drive, but hopefully a worthwhile investment on my “keeper”
