cheers mate, i did assume but the plug in part and pictures of cradles i had seen on ebay that a nokia 6230 would fit.

i did come across that thread when i done a search but it was talking more about the actualy siemens phone etc and not the nokia one.

just wanted to know if this is a nokia fitment could i get any bmw nokia cradle and it would fit or would it just be certain phone cradles ?

I think its only the 6230 that works in the cradle the 6230i will not connect , or maybe its the other way around , will get back to you in 5 Thumbs Up

thanks for the heads up i was hunting for a 6230i. do you know why a 6230i phone wouldnt work, as far as i know they are practically the same phone. just that 6230i's are easier to get a hold of.

I have managed to find someone local selling is cradle which looks eactly like yours from a 2005 range rover sport. i would imagine this would be identical to what i need.

both 6230 and the 6230i will work, but you need a dealer software upgrade for the 6230i model, late 06 spec vehicles already had this installed from LR
