depends. AFAIK Last letter - revision - doesn't matter. Second from back must be the same

In some cases the last letter may make a difference as well.

On my car (2014 Autobiography) the difference between my headlight which broke and one from 2016 with same part number that I was trying to replace it with was the elimination of the aim adjustment motor. 2014 has it. 2016 doesn't. I suspect on the 2016 the beam cutoff is done by the high beam flap.

I transplanted the motor from the broken bits of my headlight into the used one I got from ebay.
