Cheap 2012 5.0 supercharged

Spotted this earlier, could be a very cheap fix for a cheap car for someone who knows what they are doing.

Makes you wonder what else is wrong with it!

MOT history doesn't appear to be terrible. I had most of the cooling system apart on my old 5.0 so tempting this Shocked

They used to be on eBay trading as cars with no reserve, had quite good feedback. Not sure if they are still on there, seems to be genuine down to earth guys. If I had the money and wasn't in a dodgy state, I probably would have took a punt myself. Not that I know much about the 5.0 supercharged. Is the cooling system that complicated then?

Tempting to take a gander at this as it's not massively far, though I do enjoy the extra MPG on the 3.6 😅

We have brought 3 cars from them one full fat and two cars cheap for the kids. They were honest the cars didn't look perfect on the outside and had parking dents but they were OK mechanically. They came with long or new mot.

But rackers, should you buy it and it's a simple cheap fix, you'll be quids in. Or quids out as once you get behind the wheel and feel that power, till keep it and sell the 3.6 Laughing

Smp, I've heard of other people buying from them, they are not in the best shape and high mileage cars. Nothing a damn good valet wouldn't sort out and the people I know said they couldn't fault them. Hence why they are so cheap. They have a few rrs below market price, they just never show you the mileage on their site.

At their peak ‘carswithnoreserve’ we’re all bought from BCA auctions, even the majority of their sales photos were in the actual auction centre. Nothing wrong with buying from an auction (my L322 came out of Manchester Manheim, but I knew why it was there) but most vehicles are put in there for a reason. Just sayin 😜 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Good price, worth a look if anyone's close by.

But... coolant leak in dealer terms, could mean it's been run with no coolant and the head gasket has gone. I wouldn't assume for one minute that it's just a radiator or hose... Whistle

Looking at all the oily handprints on the driver's door card tells me someone has had this thing apart and it's been too much work, so it's been chucked into auction.

Got the rear reclining seats too, if it's got the parcel shelf, that's worth a mint on its own lol.
I really do hope someone from here buys it and lets us all know how he gets on with it, be an interesting read.

Its the Jaguar version of a Ford Lincoln design. They tend to split header tanks and Thermostat housings, also the supercharger pipe underneath over the manifold. Also shed plastic chain guides and chains. The blocks warp if they get too hot. Plenty of info on The Wizards, and Samcracs websites.
