Tried a cheap jobby off Amazon and it’s failed just outside the 30 day return window. Luckily Amazon have issued a credit note.

The OEM ones are £240 which I’m reluctant to spend. Does anyone have any experience with the Meyle or other branded ones ?

Ended up buying 2 original ones from eBay from breakers. £25 posted for the pair.

If either of them doesn’t work I can return it, so no risk and hopefully one will be fine.

Good luck, my aftermarket one failed within 10 minutes. Weirdly it bumped the fan back into life and now it works with the old one back in it...

I fitted a Meyle 64 11 6 923 204 when my FSR failed the new FSR was still going strong 4 years later.

The first of my eBay specials arrived today. Proper Sitronic as originally fitted. Popped it in and pleased to say it works perfectly. I always thought that the heating system had a weird and wonderful way of operating, however, now the correct part is in, it functions exactly how I thought it should.

Nice cold a/c which will be welcome this week.

That was a very worthwhile £10 spent. I'll keep the other on the shelf as backup.

Might tackle the Peltier unit on the driver's seat this evening as I have had a couple turn up and having a nice cool bum will be a luxury.

Second hedgehog arrived today. Plugged it in and that works fine too.

For those looking for a new hedgehog it might be worth trying eBay in the first instance for an OEM one. They're cheaper than the cheap ones, which often seem to fail and you know you're getting decent quality. Even if it only lasts 12 months at £15 or so each, it's a cheaper option than £240 for a new one.
