Incorrect KVM or incorrect configuration | |
I am tackling a persistent U2100 fault. Upon interrogation it comes up as an RFA U0140, lost comms with the BCM (body control module) and further help points to door lock faults, thus the KVM (keyless vehicle module). However, the door locking and unlocking all works OK
When trying to config the KVM, SDD says "The keyless vehicle module fitted to the vehicle is incorrect, please check part number as it should be either BJ32 or DPLA." and it wont allow me to program further.
I cannot config the BCM because it checks the KVM first, and finds this incorrect fault.
When interrogating the network, the KVM reports back:
0xf111 ecu_core_assembly_pn value AH42-14C250AC
0xf113 ecu_delivery_assembly value AH42-19H440-AE
0xf188 vm_ecu_sw_pn value Ah22-14c104-AE
0xf108 vm_ecu_sw_2_pn value AH42-14C430-AB
I don't know if this is a real hardware issue and incorrect KVM, or if it is a software issue. Normally here I would config the BCM but I cant. I need something more fundamental.
With a totally bricked Jaguar XF, you run the 'configure new instrument cluster' routine and build from there. When you finish, you can config any module and it all completes with no issues.
The RR is not happy at the moment and the steering column adjustment has failed again and will not config. This is a BCM issue.
To be continued. In the meantime, if anyone else has been here, please tell. 2010 5.0 SC Autobiography Overfinch in Bentley Silk White pearlescent, 22" Overfinch wheels with 285/35x22 tyres
