Please help

Please could someone help me..

I bought a l405 sdv8 4.4 2015 from a garage that I’m having trouble with and I need to find some genuine information..

I could do with a copy of the service guide

Proof of oil max fill

And if possible oil amount when car is at minimum..

Thanks in advance

Not sure what you mean by proof of max fill. From oil and filter change they take 9.4 litres to full, all segments should be yellow on the dash when checking level if full. From full to minimum is one litre so below 8.4 litres is considered below minimum level. Hope that makes sense.

So I bought the car from a dealer and was meant to be serviced and by time I got home the car was on ( minimum engine oil level underfilled )

So what I need when I say proof if a page in the manual what says it’s 9.4L fill and also what the oil amount you’d have left in the sump and the lowest point so I can work out what there saying is not uncommon oil consumption. It was a 45 minute drive home.

Welcome

Buy a vacuum pump search oil change and you will find many recommendations I use this had it 4 years and its ideal for me it holds 10L. Suggest you find Baltic Blues post on procedure Thumbs Up Change the oil yourself if you have no confidence in the last garage in the long run you will feel better who knows what they put in, if at all they did change the oil?

Measure what comes out and only put low saps C1 oil back in, Opie do good deals input reg and choose oil and oil filter. Most of us change the oil 2-4 times a year take heed of service warnings as fuel dilution of the oil is common. Oil filter change is simple get correct socket and torque wrench for same.
Service reset
Oil filter 36mm socket 28nM torque

to read Oil level
Simply pull the bonnet release, get in and press the start buttton (without your foot on the brake).

Press "OK" to clear any warnings ( including'bonnet open' )- once they are clear, do the oil check as normal but when it comes up "unavailable" press 'cancel' on the cruise control twice - your oil level shows!

Oil reset pop bonnet, leave driver door open, press full. Brake and accelerator pedals for 10 secs

Lastly buy a cheap OBD2 tool and scan car for error codes and reset them scan again to see permanent codes that wont clear -follow up errors. I use this its cheap and cheerful and does the job for a basic DIYer
