My new 405. What a machine

After owning a P38 many years ago, it scarred me for life. Highly questionable build quality, electrical faults that never ended; I vowed I would never own another Range Rover again.

Until this 2017 5.0 suddenly entered my life.

50000 miles, full SH, serviced every 9000 miles.

I was expecting issues and the need to wrap my head around the newer RR quirks and faults that will show up.

So far I have had just one; the quiescent relay fuseboard fault has come on the dash twice. From what I gather there isn’t really a cure for it. Delete the fault and keep driving.

Done about 2500 miles to Austria and back last week. Flawless

I changed the plugs, oil and filters and fitted a new battery before I left.

The build quality of newer Range Rovers has definitely improved from the older days.

That is lovely, congratulations. I looked at a P565 a few weeks ago, the engine noise was terrific. I'm sure you'll enjoy it very much. First time FFRR owner
