windshield wiper getting stuck in the middle (video)

Hi all - this just randomly started happening….the windshield wipers
Will make a full sweep if kept on, but they keep “parking” in the middle of the windshield and not at their normal position.

I have:
Cleared all faults with IIDTool
Disconnected the negative battery terminal (hard reset)
Replaced the 30amp fuse that controls the wipers

I can’t seem to figure it out. I would think maybe it’s the motor but it still seems to function fine, it’s just it keeps parking the wipers in the middle now. Any ideas? Just hit 62,000 miles on her and I’d love to be able to keep it going without plowing too much money into it.

It will possibly be the park switch inside the motor that’s sticking. You could try stripping it and cleaning the switch. Replacement motors are easy To fit and not very expensive .it’s the same motor that fits the BMW e39 so do a search on eBay you should be able to find one

Yep, second that. New wiper motor if you don’t want to strip it down and repair.

Had it a few years ago on mine.
