Old shape l322 Vogue or sport?

I have a 322 Vogue 4.4 petrol. And live it. Got the wife a 08 3.6 d sport.... Swapped forca X5 as I know the sport will need a good bit of work next year's test. We had x5s before but now wife's been spoilt on hers and my RR she wants another...... I would prefer the l322 Vogue shape as it's the cheaper tax ( sport was 770!!!) is there a cheap tax sport or will it be the older l322? I know the 3ltr is 400 odd but is the 3.6 also the cheap tax?

I can tell you that the L322 4.4 TDV8 is just under £800. If you look on auto trader on the bit that’s lower than a cars description bit, it has a heading running costs…. Tells you the tax under there for that specific vehicle.

Others might have more useful info.

You need a pre 2006 L322 for it to be cheap tax.

There's no 3.6 Diesel that ever made it into the cheap tax bracket as they weren't available until late 2006 which was after the rules changed.

IMHO the £350 a year difference between the tax rates is a drop in the ocean of RR running costs.
There are far bigger (costlier) issues to look out for when choosing a Rangerover.

That's true!

I would also say that all of the little improvements that have occurred to the cars over the years make the cars that are higher to tax worth the extra too.
