Drivers seat and Steering wheel electrics

Help!!!!

Been trawling through the forums for a while but can’t seem to find this issue, apologies if it’s been mentioned before

So the drivers seat and steering wheel adjustments no longer work, they did for several months under my ownership and have now quit. I checked the fuses and fuse 20 had blown, replaced it and it blew straight away. After a few months of driving it, I replaced the fuse (eventually getting round to looking at it) and it worked. Drove it around, no probs, all fine. This morning nothing and fuse has blown. Been through about 12 fuses now, had seat out, tried all sorts but nothing blindingly obvious. Slept on it and decided that it must be the memory ecu and if I could get the fuse in and working, providing I don’t press the memory button all will work. Battery disconnected (both + and -), left for an hour, came back, put a new fuse in, reconnected battery, started car and seat wouldn’t move. Checked fuse and all was ok, decided to check passenger seat and that no longer moves. Pull out fuse 20 or disconnect drivers seat via the plug underneath it and passenger seat works.

Anyone have any ideas? I’m stumped, can no longer take seat out as bolts are covered and the back of the seat is too upright Evil or Very Mad

TIA

If you think it’s ecu related speak to Elliot at https://www.turners-garage.com/.

He may have a clue as he deals with the steering columns and anything else electronic on these cars. 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.
