Displaying Gap iid data on Apple CarPlay.

The latest post on Kots long DPF thread shows screenshots of data on a CarPlay screen.
It’s got my attention and wondering how that was done and if it’s possible to show other live data ?
Presumably the Gap iid App isn’t available.

Can you not just add the Gap app to the CarPlay screen using the customise option? 4.2 SC - sold , now bought back

Not all Apps will be Carplay compatible. When I check my iPhone it only shows a limited number of Apps in the customise screen. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

To change the Carplay Apps (both visibility and position) go to - Settings/General/CarPlay, select the linked vehicle and then customise the home screen Apps 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

The Gap IID app is not CarPlay compatible so doesn’t show. Would be a good development though!

You could install the GAP app on the Android headunit, it's on the play store as IIDControl.

The answer has already been provided on the other thread!

Car Scanner Pro “Dashboard” mode + Vgate iCar BT dongle (= the “Kot Kit”) is as cheap as chips, and works great with Apple Carplay, wired or otherwise.

No point looking for anything else when £25 has it all sorted. Thumbs Up V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong!
