In the past, some yahoo has tried to get the lock cover off the door handle and has been rather cack handed about. As a result the cover is rather loose and doesn't stay on very long.

I cannot tell whether the issue is the cover itself or the black plastic surround that sits behind the door handle.

Can anyone see anything obvious that is broken on either of these two photos? Thanks.
