Replacement Key

I found some old posts (2017) about getting keys cut by VIN, is this still an option? and if so who's best to do this? what should this cost?

My daughter has a 2006 TD6, and the blade of the key keeps detaching from the body and I am really worried in case she loses it, I've tried fixing with epoxy etc. but after a few weeks it breaks again. Crying or Very sad

I bought a new key and had it cut, but they said at the time the original blade is slightly bent/twisted and couldn't guarantee it would work. I transferred the internals of the key (inc. transponder) and when inserted in the ignition the steering unlocks but the key won't actually turn Censored Old damaged falling apart key starts the car fine.

It's the old 3 button remote and Ideally that's what I'd like as a replacement.

TIA
