2010 L322 4.4 TDV8 - Digital Dash

I had one of the Steering wheel control buttons stop working. It was the down arrow on the OK jog dial button, which stopped me getting into the vehicle option menu on the digital dash. Sourced a replacement.

So, disconnected the battery, waited 20 mins, popped the airbag, replaced the SWC buttons, pushed the airbag back in, making sure everything was not pinched etc, reconnected the battery.

Fired her up, airbag light on, but, down arrow option works.

Out with the GAP tool, reset codes, nope, BCM, reset airbag, nope, still on. No other faults.

I didn’t disconnect the electrics to the airbag, all plugs stayed in place, was very careful when I popped it out, rested on the steering wheel when disconnecting the SWC module.

All was working ok before hand.

Thoughts? Wire come loose somewhere in the airbag connectors, clock spring issues, they seem to be common problems, but all was OK before I dropped it out. Check out my YouTube channel
