Oil pressure sensor/switch

Hi,

I have a L322 2008 3.6 TDV8. My gap iid tool specifies a P0520 error code relating to the oil pressure sensor/switch.

Where are these/this located?

Some posts say just look under the cover and you’ll see a green plug (I don’t Sad).

Also some say it the back on the cylinderhead and some say it’s around the vacuum pump (closer to front near alternator by the looks)

Doesn’t anyone know which area it is as don’t want to have to take loads off to find out I’ve gone in the wrong direction.

Photo id of what I’m looking to fit.

Cheers Matt

It screws into the front of the RH cylinder head, just above the oil pump. RH is when looking forward from the rear to the front of the vehicle, not when standing in front of the vehicle looking at the engine. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

Yes.
I fitted a T to accomodate both the pressure switch and a pressure sensor to my now-sold 4.4 TDV8. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

What on earth…

So to access the switch, it looks either gain access from the front which means remove the top shroud which won’t come out without removing draining coolant?

From the side remove the side fuse box at a minimum?

Can you catch the coolant? You might have to disconnect or remove other pipes/hoses and possibly the serpentine belt to get access. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

Went for the ecu box first.

Literally LR have put a metal bracket behind the sensor…why??

This is far as it come off without fouling the bracket 😂😂

Gonna have to go through the front and drain the system. Sad

Sorted!

Nothing to do with the pressure switch in the end. Gap iid hallucinating.

The nipple at the bottom of the oil filter had cracked off…

The 4.4 has a bracket for a coolant pipe in the same area.
Anyway, good that you resolved the issue. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims
