So how many people have experienced this?

Happened to me this weekend on my 2018 L405. Closed the door when I was grabbing a takeaway and heard a sound like broken glass rattling around. Didn’t think anything of it until I returned to the car and the window had dropped halfway on its own. Started the car and tried to put the window back up but wouldn’t work. Then I made the mistake of dropping at all the way down and it remained stuck down.

The next morning, I took it to a mates garage and we managed to take the door card off and manually get the window back up. As a temporary measure, we’ve wedged the window up using a block of wood zip tied to the inner door frame.

I’m currently pricing up a new regulator and motor. Maltings have one for around £120.

My car is going in for a service at Land Rover and they’ve quoted £700 to do the job…
