Just ordered a D350 AB which comes on 22”
I have 20’s on my L405 with no damage after 7 years.
I have the upgraded suspension to give the best ride !
Are 22’s the best choice for ride?
Are they prone to rim damage as there seems very little rubber overhang.

I’ve got the same vehicle with 23” and so far so good - ride is firm but all ok and you just have to be careful staying away from the curbs  "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

I also have a D350 HSE with 22" wheels (5127) with Dynamic Pro suspension and it's a much better ride than our old L405 ATB which was on 21" rubber. Because our new L460 broke down 3 days after delivery we got the chance to sample a couple of demonstrators for several weeks. These were on 22" and 23" wheels with 'standard' suspension. The 23", whilst excellent, had slightly more NVH than the 22". The Dynamic Pro suspension was noticeably better as it is continually tuned to suit the road type and is superb on a motorway. Finally, one of the demonstrators was a P460e hybrid which was much quieter around town but on a motorway you'd be hard pressed to notice the difference against a D350 because wind noise is more dominant.
So, all-in-all, a D350 on 22" and Dynamic Pro suspension is, in my opinion, the best of the bunch.
In 11 months we haven't managed to curb the wheels.

It’s been a while since I looked, but I think the 22” wheels have a similar side profile to the L405 21s. My sister has a new Sport p550e on 23” wheels and the side profile is slightly greater than the 22” wheels on my old car. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

I run 23" wheels on my LWB L405 albeit with L460 Pirelli silent rubber and they are incredibly quiet, handle all types of surface brilliantly and have great rim protection... I have clobbered enough curbs (some slowly some not so) and have never caught the rim in 6 years of use...

I've been pleasantly surprised with 22" . Don't notice any problems.

Makes other cars feel shocking, e,g, BMW 8 series
