Coolant top up

Before I get the "RTFM" comments or "use the search" I did both and pretty much got the answers I needed.

The car I have has had a slight coolant leak ever since I got it (years ago) it's so slight I forgot all about it. However was recently away from home and I got the "coolant level low" warning and all I had to hand was clean water, much to my surprise it took 1.5L to fill it (well I filled it to the top so probably over filled it). I think my car uses a 50/50 mix of OAT antifreeze and although I am not panicking should I just nip to Halfords (home now) get some concentrate drain a bit off (3/4L)and top up to the correct level with the concentrate?

I'm not actually panicking because summers coming and coupled with the recent weather freezing is not going to happen any time soon.

I'll keep an eye on the levels and top up if needed with the right mixture. Geoff

Just leave it, next top up use neat coolant, no added water

Sounds like a plan thanks, OAT is the right stuff ? the manual goes on about Castrol I'll let the Indie sort that - I don't do anything that requires tools so this and an oil change are about my limit. Thanks again Very Happy Geoff
