I just arrived at work 10min ago

Turned the engine off, then the speakers went crazy!

Turned the radio on, all is fine... Turned the radio off again and the speakers go mad again.. the noise is of a fairly loud buzzing, like an electric motor connected in series to a battery and speaker.

Seems to be coming from the front centre speaker...

I left the car unlocked with the radio on and volume at 0 but I assume after 45 min it will start again?

Any fuses I can pull? Haven't got any tools on me so a quick diy job is impossible.


Ironic really as it's going to a specialist tomorrow to get other stuff sorted out..

Unplug amp in boot... 

reason for radio mayhem could be water ingress, solution is what dan said or dis-connect battery to see if it resets itself..

The amp and cables were soaked, unplugged the amp and the silance again.

Looks like a job for the weekend!

Can someone tell me how to get the D pillow cover off. Ive tried to prise it off but it felt like I was going to snap/break it.

Does it just pull off or are there screws holding it in place.

If something can't be fixed with a hammer....... You have yourself an electrical fault!

Is that not the one at the rear corner of the car?
