Anyone know if the cluster software can be upgraded using SDD?

I have a similar issue and prefer not to take the car to the dealer: Service Action N118: 'Service Required' Message Not Displayed & Service Reset Function Not Working

In my case the 'Service Required' message does show up intermittently and I am not able to perform the service interval reset. Tried using multiple scan tools as well as the brake + accelerator method.

Yes, I did my SDV8 instrument pack with SDD and the genuine JLR VCI, I wouldn't risk using a Mongoose clone to flash the cluster as its a big upload (too big for the GAP IID), and the Mongoose clones are known to occasionally fail with big loads.
