Oil change

Hi All

I have just enjoyed a trip to Devon in my baby where she performed perfectly for just north of 1000 miles.

I have come in for some criticism in the past for changing oil too frequently, circa 2500 to 4000 miles for fresh oil and filter.

My oil and filter were 3500 miles old and I pamper my baby always fully warming her up before driving at any type of speed, gentle inputs, regular air and fuel filters etc.

The old oil was very thin and jet black so in my mind it was well worth changing so soon.

My gearbox oil was last changed 16000 miles ago so that's next for me. The filter/sump was replaced 16000 miles ago also so will likely just change the oil itself.

Diffs we're done 10000 miles ago so they're OK.

Nearly forgot, have also added ZX1 Extralube which I swear by and because I have used for 2 decades on all my cars I believe it's why my engines are always so good so I can't stop using now!!!

My next job is a new set of terafirma front discs and pads to provide a small upgrade in performance. She is due a brake fluid change so a good time to fit the new discs and pads.

99112 miles and she is a lovely car to look at, be in and drive. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Santorini black ivory leather
