So the plug to the fuel system has all the right wires and matches with the wiring diagram of whatever year it happens to be.

What comes to my mind is, someone needed to do that hack to get things to work properly (hopefully it was working properly?)

Sadly the whole point of this farce has been to try to work out why the car won't start.

Could be a previous owner has wired in ‘kill switch’ to prevent theft. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

It’s very bizarre. The grey double connector was actually fixed to the plastic insert that’s part of access for the wires, etc. to the fuel pump. So it looks legitimate, except for the fact there’s nothing connected to the other end, on this car at least. |
