2008 3.6 TDV8 HSE L322 Rear Propshaft question

Having sucessfully replaced the carrier bearing, I was checking the photo I took to ensure correct orientation when fitting propshaft.

Mine was removed with carrier bearing towards diff.

The Rave Manual has 2 diagrams, 1 with the carrier bearing towards diff and the other with the carrier bearing towards front transmission.

Can anyone tell me which is correct?
