L405 Undersill splashguard - fixing clips to fuel tank guard

Installed fixed side steps to my 2018 L405 this weekend, which involves removing the two sill guards from underneath the vehicle - the felt-y plastic things which run front to back on either side.

What the heckins is up with the horrendous rear fasteners from the sill guards to the fuel tank guard - impossibly corroded, absolutely no chance of being able to unbolt them from below. Ended up removing all the other fasteners, then reaching in and “unfolding” the rusty tabs which hold them to the tabs on the tank guard (two on pax side, one on drivers side)

Does anyone know the LR part numbers for these - they seem to be missing from the relevant exploded parts diagrams, so I gave up…

Sorry, I don’t know the part number for the clips, but the rubber “buckles” come with the new fuel tank cradle, not sold separately!

They aren’t listed on the cradle schematic either:

I hope someone else will come along to help soon. V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong!

Thanks - the rubber bit is the only part which isn’t corroded…

why on *earth* they didn’t powder coat that fuel tank guard (or make it of alloy) - crazy! 2019 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 SDV8, Byron Blue

I’ve just done mine, plus the 2-part DEF tank cradle, you can read about it here:

The rubber part will perish tho’ you can make something similar yourself from rubber strip. V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong!
