M62 battery warning light

Hi Chums,

I recently had to disconnect my battery to do some work on the passenger door. When I reconnected the battery I have a continuous battery warning indicator despite the fact that all charging is normal.

In order to try and remedy this I have disconnected both battery terminals for several hours and then reconnected with no improvement.

I believe this vehicle being 2003 predates any requirement for battery registration so I would be grateful if anyone has any ideas?

Many thanks

B

I would make sure the leads are seated correctly.
The leads tighten on a cam and can be tightened right up but remain loose and move around!
I took the leads off and loosened the cam right off and stuck a screwdriver in the gap to open it further. Then made sure the leads were right at the bottom of the taper on the battery terminals, held them in place and tightened.... Much better connection, now solid.
