Hi knowledge base! I have recently acquired a 2015 l405 with the sdv8 engine.

Got underneath yesterday to take a look and it looked really barez it looks a bit exposed in places and I fear I’m
Missing at least one splashgaurd or under body protection. Having looked through the parts diagrams I’m struggling to see and googling images and videos is also drawing a blank with me.

Wondered if anyone has any pics of the underneath of their car that when in the air so I can take a look. I have one right at the front but things like the dpf pressure pipes are unprotected and it feels
Like there should be lore comparing it to my l322.

Annoyingly i didn’t take a pic of mine to show you all and im not at home now until the weekend.

From memory there’s two large main covers then a smaller cover at the front under one of the main ones, one is under the engine the other covers the gear box and ends at the transfer box, I changed the transfer box oil without removing any covers, found these for the main ones on eBay -

Mine is a bit different, being the 2017 TDV6 with the little AdBlue tank shield in front of the fuel tank shield, but this is the rear view:

I'm basing this on my 2013 TDV8.

If you look at the parts diagram for splash shields you should have part 6755A under the engine, then behind that, part 6775C.

Then as you look further back, you get to the gearbox, and you see the shield which is 7A434 from the gearbox parts diagram.

Then you get to the transfer case, and the shields stop.
