Windows switches LEDs?

So the passenger and rear driver and one of the four driver window switch LEDs seem to have gone - switches work fine. Is this common and can you just solder new LEDs? Current stable:
2006 BMW M6
2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF
Gone:
2002 4.4 V8 FF
