Is it possible to do an AC compressor delete, without removing the compressor itself, by putting on a shorter belt? Mine locked up and I'm getting quotes of $2500 to $3000 to replace it. I would rather just bypass it if possible.

That is a ridiculous sum of money, it should be in the hundreds, not thousands, maybe you have been unlucky and the shops didn't want the job.... There is nothing special about the Range Rover setup, any competent garage can work on it.... Good luck
