Battery replacement issue with Mega Fuse on L322 | |
Hi everyone,
My second post this evening. As I dig deeper into my 2008 Range Rover L322 4.2 Supercharged I get more and more thinks to do with it (why did I even start at first place?)
I’m replacing the battery, but I’m running into an issue with the large Mega Fuse block (Battery Junction Box) that sits directly on the positive terminal. The new battery is wider than the old one (3 cm). According to the reseller it should fit but it obviously don’t. And I can’t return it.
The fuse block is quite big (around 7x10 cm, 2 cm thick) and makes it very tight to fit the new battery.
There’s also a thick wiring loom on the left side of the battery compartment that adds to the problem.
My question is:
Can this Mega Fuse block be safely rotated/angled the other way to make more room for the battery?
Or is it fixed in one position only?
Has anyone relocated the block slightly (with a short cable) to get a better fit?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
