Fuel burning heater - no cables in the boot

Hi folks

I've just swapped to an L405 from an L322. I love the car, but one of the best features of my L322 was the fuel burning heater with a remote. I could press the button from inside the house and the car would be warm and toasty 20 minutes later.

Looking at the build sheet for my 2016 (65 plate) L405 Vogue SE 4.4L SDV8, it says:
Supplementary Heating Fuel Operated Heater
Park Heating NO PARK HEATING
Engine Pre Heater LESS Engine Block Heater

However, I can't find the cables in the boot to add the remote/timed climate module. I've looked in the location stated in Kev's excellent post here:
https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic57037.html

I have checked under the bonnet, and the FBH appears to be there (again, taking info from Kev's post)

Under the Extras menu on the display, there's no timed climate option.

Is it possible that the car the car doesn't have the cables to the boot, only the FBH? Is it possible to add the rear cabling? Could, perhaps, it have the module but not have it activated (it is mounted out of sight, I understand).

Should I just try editing the CCF (I have GAP IID) and see if it works?

Thanks, Rob. 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 (about to be sold)

Think I'll have another crack at it in the morning. Reading more, I may have been too timid in my searching. Will report back. 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 (about to be sold)

When you say "I may have been too timid in my searching", I was wondering if that might be the case. It is awkward to get to module. It's high up and to the rear of the vehicle. High up as in you have to get your head in there and look up!

Hi folks

I've finally had a free weekend and this has got to the top of the list again. I still can't find the cables, I just don't think they are there. I was laying on my back in the boot and I've had my hand right up the D pillar. There is a piece of foam up there and something behind it plugged in, but I don't think that's it as it only has one plug and no antenna connection. I've tried taking a photo up the D pillar to show it.

I even went as far as removing the trim for the D pillar and unbolting the metal plate behind it to have a look. Still no joy.

I have found a cable tucked away, roughly behind the brake light, but I don't think this is it as it is the wrong shape and doesn't have an antenna with it. (Would love to know what this is for!)

I'm sure I've got a heater:

So, I'm stumped on how to proceed. Am I just out of luck? Any ideas welcome.

The cables and unit (if you have it) are hard to see, had to search for mine after I bought what I thought was the correct remote but it isn’t Big Cry

Others have found the cables tucked away, picture of my 2016 below may help to identify the cables -

1985 90 pick up went anywhere
1992 90 Exported
2007 L322 that was an experience
2010 D4 more versatile than a Swiss army knife, now gone
2011 L322 4.4 VSE traded in
2018 L405 4.4 VSE Sold a wrong un
2016 L405 4.4 AB

To me this suggests that your car was built without the pre-heater installed so it seems unlikely you have the wiring for it. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

That looks like you do have the heater, its on the left hand side under the bonnet and looking at the picture you definitely have it.
