Afternoon all, I'm a new owner of a 4.4tdv8 vogue, and slowly plodding on with a few issues that i have now sorted.. 1 issue I'm struggling on which direction to go with Diagnosing.. that's the cruise control.. this is bog standard cruise not adaptive..

I've done a search and scanned a few posts but need advice. The cruise control doesn't work at all, no display on the screen when pressed, nothing. I did see on information there is a Switch on the pedal that I have located and I'm not 100 percent how to test.. the brake lights are all OK and work fine but is it a dual switch so still could be faulty?

I have the gap tool and tried to complete a calibration but it just errors and no connection.. there's no fault codes but I'm still learning where and what the gap tool can do and have that fear of screwing something up with it. Can someone point me towards a few tests that I can carry out so I have direction to proceed.
