4.4TDV8 MAP/inlet manifold issue

Hi, first post from a long time reader...

Motorway drive today and up pings the dreaded red triangle. Restricted performance issue.

A quick scan has shown the P006A-00 MAP sensor fault. I'm happy with where that is and it will be getting cleaned as soon as I'm back home.

However, there is clearly an issue with the donut. Attached is a picture of oil clearly being chucked out of the right hand side. A visual inspection doesn't show any obvious splits or cracks but oil is obviously escaping. I'm thinking O-rings potentially? This has clearly happened in the last month or so because I've been under the bonnet around then and didn't notice this issue.

My concern is now that the MAP issue is actually a pressure fault due to the donut being compromised. I would be very grateful for any constructive input that anyone can offer/experiences with the same issue etc?

Thanks in advance.

I would first degrease everything then have a close look.
I would think you have a split rear doughnut hose.

Pray it's just the hose coupler and not a split in the plastic intake manifold. MY12 cars should have had updates to fix these issues but if yours was and early 12 it may have missed them. From the pic it looks like the rear one is the old type of rubber connector and the front one has been replaced. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Thanks both - as suggested the rear nearside hose was completely knackered. Thanks for the input 👍

Thumbs Up Just get some silicone reinforced hoze and cut to size to replace the old soft rubber ones. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
