supercharged with headgasket trouble

while looking through ebay i spotted this could be a good buy for some one mechanically minded

Something doesnt seem 'right' with it for that price.

They must have it in as an insurance payout jobas surely someone wouldn't give up on it for those tiny items, i mean a headgasket job is what, 1-2k??

They must have also bought it in a few k cheaper than that i'd imagine about 7k if not a smidge less for it?!?!

Nice project for someone im sure, especially if they can do the work themselves but i'd want to knock more cash off it first if it were me

Problem on headgaskets on the Jaguar engines is with the job done, it just reacts funny. Especially if the engine has overheated it never seems the same again.

New cylinder heads are a fortune. Used to have:
2005 FFRR 4.4 Vogue - BRC LPG Conversion & Remapped

Now have:
2008 SSRR 3.6 TDV8 - HSE and plenty of toys

Sure I saw this car up on ebay about 6 weeks ago, I certainly remember the phrase "it starts and drives but it should be collected by recovery truck (running the engine as is will do some damage)"

I also remember the plate read as "Phoenix" (to me anyway) and it seemed a little ironic.

I'm guessing either it didnt sell the first time or the new buyer is trying to sell it on
