Stupid question of the day!

Hi all, as the title suggests, I am going to ask what is likely a stupid question but I am having a total brain fart today and cannot think of the proper name for what I need.

Basically I need a pen / pencil, either yellow or white, that you use to mark the position of something i.e. position of a nut on a thread so you can line them back up again? I think it is called something like a grease pen / pencil or similar? Want to be sure I ask for the right thing, rather embarrass myself on the forum than in a parts shop! Embarassed

Chinagraph propelling pencil, or just a pencil.

Like a crayon that twists to extend once worn, used them in the RAF, can get them on EBAY. Fuji White 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westmiinster
