vogue se rear screens

anyone traced a fault with their rear dvd screen before? Im going to have a look this weekend but wondered if anyone has investigated this problem before?

Basically i get power to 1 screen and nothing to the other when selecting both from the front nav system. I'm assuming either a faulty screen or broken / loose cable...im hoping the later but wondered how i can test for this?

Thanks in advance

Yes it was asked the other day and I think the response was that there is a fibre optic cable that can break in the seat?

Does anyone know the procedure for getting this cable exposed for testing?

If you take the back off your seat (one hidden torx screw each side at the bottom) then lift the rear up and towards the back seat you will expose the electrics, you will see a black plug with a triangular shaped connector about the thickness of your little finger. Then under the front of the seat you will see a much larger black connector with a black plastic holder (to stop it coming apart with the forward/backward movement of the chair) thats the other end to disconnect. (buy please trace the wire to it so as not to disconnect the wrong wire!) It is a ten min job! eeek!

Simply swap the two seat looms to see if one is broken!

There's no fibre optic cable to the RSE screens Rolling Eyes Just a single multi-core Alpine cable to each for power, audio and video.

I retro fitted the full factory RSE system to my wifes D3 Thumbs Up
