You have to lift the suspension to its highest first., should come off the ground easily enough. This jack has a lift of about 14" (ie the difference between lowest & highest) Graham

As I'd used it on my D3 a few times I was pretty happy it would be OK but as I had NOT not used it on the FFRR and in the interests of accurate research, I just went and got a bit oily...

I can confirm it works fine. Suspension to High. Position jack. Total of 13 strokes of pump handle had the wheel 1" off the ground with about 1/3rd of travel remaining. Graham

ALWAYS lift suspension to Offroad setting before jacking. If you do not the wheels will just hang down as you Jack making life impossible without a very big jack. THe trick is that the suspension is already fully extended and therefore the wheels will not droop as the chassis is lifted. Thumbs Up

I use a Halfords 3 ton Trolley Jack and it works a treat. Just a few pumps and the wheels are up. I use a piece of solid wood between Jack and Car. Ideally get a square piece of old tyre and nail it to a block of wood.

Yes. It's a jack of no trades Sad

I've managed to persuade my local tyre independent (Treadfirst in Saffron Walden, top blokes) to swap them over for me for nowt. I do put all my tyre, brake and MOT work their way, so they make a fair bit at other times. If if you can't get KF to do it for free, a few quid spent there will be a lot easier than wrestling with the LR jack.

Or, you could buy the Paddock one or similar and DIY at the weekend. Graham
