Aircon O-rings - yes or no??

Following the saga of my bust heating - the first garage said the evaporator had split, the garage fixing it said it wasn't the evap but the O rings on the evaporator. I haven't got the car back yet but they say they've changed them and the aircon has charged up OK. I recall the P38 had a well-known heater O ring issue; do our L322s have something similar? I just want to validate what the garage are telling me.

Cheers.

I don't know about L322 O rings specifically but O ring leakage on car ac systems is very common. You get O rings in the pipe to equipment joints such as compressors, evaporators and condensers.
Not a big job to change, usually all the work is in dismantling bits to get to the joints together with recharging the system with refrigerant.

Thanks, yes, that does make sense, just checking the garage as it had to go back to the supplying dealer and therefore I don't know how good the repairers are.
