NFU but you need to be a member. Thumbs Up

Axle I would get your quotes checked with NFU, from what you say I have exactly the same policy yet only pay 500 odd with 5 yrs no claims - the excess may make a slight difference though...

Have been with them 25 years at least - no problems and no charges to transfer loan vehcile when yours is in for a service.

Also there is no requirement to be an NFU member to insure with them.

Thought that may be the case, as they've been advertising on peak time TV lately. Have they just become a run of the mill insurance agent/broker, or do they sell their own policies?

I never stay with the same company, you only get a decent deal by shopping around and being a rate tart.

I pay 320 fully comp, I'm 33, with about 5 or 6 yrs NCD and 6 points for speeding (Plus the wife as a named driver). It's the cheapest my insurance has EVER been in my life. I'm made up!

Plus, in August my 6 points finally come off...Jurassic Park! Very Happy L405 VSE 4.4

As far as I am aware Larry, they have always sold their own policies.

500 for any driver, towing, off road use, business use and no additional fees is pretty reasonable. Most insurers specifically exclude business use, off road driving and towing. If you go for 1 or two named drivers the cost does come down significantly. imho they are one of the cheapest when you compare like with like as its a mutual. Renewing policy holders also get up to 10% discount and there is also additional large discounts for long term undertakings. i.e. if you agree to use their insurance for longer periods. Farmers use them for a reason - tight fisted gits Laughing

My son was 17 on May 14th, passed his test on May 19th, just added him on for 2 weeks 21. they added him on the deffender for just 12 for the year. NFU are verry sensible. letters not necessarily in the right order

RRUK,

Out of curiosity, who are you insured with...because that's a very good quote.

My renewal is coming up soon and tried confused.com - cheapest fully comp with one named driver was 511.00 with 450.00 excess Big Cry

Ah well that time of year again, Got my renewal in from More Than, they are looking for 602.58p, browsed through some other companies, and E-Car insurance came back with 288.47p with all the same requirements as More Than, --- Courtesy Car , Windscreen , Legal Protection , etc.

Why not give e-car a try..........

King Of The Road,

I went through www.Gocompare.com and ended up with Bell Insurance. As long as the cover was the same and the price lower, I was happy. L405 VSE 4.4
