Thanks Guys - the seller has told me he just paired one of them with his iPhone4 and got the phonebook displayed.

In my old 2003 Vogue I had a 6th generation which worked perfectly well on all the phones I had and with some of the Nokias it even had sms function |

I had but I really like the idea of it being all integrated, steering wheel controls and numbers on screen etc. I'm also not a great fan of extra "gadgets" stuck on the dash somewhere.
