Hi Guys,

Everytime I just the RSW All Comms tool its a hit hit and miss if it actually connects. I always have to mess around with it etc and now what used to work doesnt work anymore,

is there a particular way people are connecting their rsw comms tools to their RR ??

I usually (it used to work)

plug in USB
start all comms software (and do nothing else not even agree the terms)
start engine
plug into obd

but it doesnt actually say "linked" at bottom of the sceen which it should. any help would be apprieciated. getting the rubbish susp inactive message.

I had a look at them, not much luck tbh. i even tried to find an FAQ etc troubleshooting. no joy

Try plugging it all together then starting the software as the last step. You don't need to start the engine either - just put the ignition on.

This is Storey's recent advice on connecting up (which can be a bit different to his videos)

haha Joe, that was what he sent me, i posted it in another thread.

well i figured it out after much pondering. i have had a facelift done and due to that its had a bit of programming where if the OBD cover is not shut the LED's at the front dont come on. All this time I have had the auto lights on which I think was causing ...

i wont even try to explain whats in my head.

anyway I turned lights up. and works within a second flat, must have been causing a conflict of some sort etc. anyway mystery solved.
