Rear axle locking diff.

Got the build standard for my car and it is fitted with a rear axle locking diff.

Does anybody have any info or a write up on this?

Is it automatic?

I do get two sets of padlocks on the 4wd graphic, one in the centre and one in the rear axle.

Before anybody suggests RTFM there is no mention in FM.

Ian

2006 Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged Zambezi Silver

I was in a 4.4 TDV8 at the Dunkeld RR off road experience that had the electronic rear diff - very clever piece of equipment and it proved almost impossible to get stuck even when the instructor had the car balance on opposing corners - both diffs locked up automatically and it just drove away.

So in answer to your question - its automatic - the only way you will now is by watching your off road screen, the dispaly shows when it locks Thumbs Up Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....
