No Splash Screen

Does anyone know if the Range Rover splash screen image runs from the disc?

I have the CD based sat nav system, which is all working, except the screen either never shows the splash screen or when it does it appears for about 1 second before the main menu comes up.

Its the one thing I have not managed to work out.

I know in other Range Rovers, when you unlock it and climb in you get the badge on the screen before its started, but mine is always a blank screen.

There is a CD in the sat nav which looks like the genuine one?

Any ideas? Reformed

I am guessing the image is there somewhere as very occasionally, it will appear for about a second as I start the car.

Might have a play with the disc then. I dont use the sat nav really as I prefer tomtom but it would be nice to get the screen showing the logo again. Reformed

Mines the same, sometimes it takes a while sometimes its very quick. Probably due to the CD based system being a bit slow. Like a PC getting slow on boot up as it gets older. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
