My First Service (Lookers)

Having never serviced a car I was not sure what to expect, but the Lookers team were extra helpful with the OH and her FL2 so decided to make the trek north (well Park Royal is outside the circle line, therefore it is "up north" Wink ).

The car had sat unused for circa 3months so it had a flat battery! Phoned Park Royal and Alison stated that there was quite alot of recall work to be done which could take all day. Since I was on one of my impromtu 48hr trips to Scotland she suggested that they do the battery while I wait, then do the rest on my return. I have to say I am suprised that any recall work was needed at all as the car has been faultless (apart from a flate battery).

On the way back I dropped it of for the rest of the recall work as well as its first service. I did tell Alison that I was concerned about the brakes (due to the Nurburgring etc) and that I expected them to need replacing. Now here is the clincher for me......she phoned to let me know the car was ready and that the brakes were fine! Thumbs Up A less scrupulous dealer would have taken my concerns as a green light to replace disks/pads regardless of their state.

Thanks for the feedback and it was really good to meet you and have a chat yesterday! Glad to hear that the team have looked after you well.

Lookers seem to have got it right. I use Lookers in Bishops Stortford, great service from the team there. Graham

I agree. They seem to have realised (the little known fact) that the performance of the service department actualy matters. A good experience when servicing/fixing your car is inexplicably linked with the likelyhood of you buying a vehicle from them. *Gone* Discovery3 HSE
