do we still love our FFRR?

as a long term owner of a FFRR vogue td6 i still fell after 4 years of sterling service and 90k miles later its still the best 4x4xfar. It still drives fantastically smooth and refined with no creaks or funny noises considering the hard use it gets towing and off road use and everything inbetween. Its had its faults YES id be lyeing if i said it has been perfect Rolling with laughter but all in all YES i will have another FFRR not yet mind as there is still another 50k+ in my motor and i would deffinetly recomend one to anybody because its the best multi perpose vehicle you can buy i.e excellent off road , spacious , big boot ,great presence , fits in with the flash cars at the golf club lol,the best in all weathers and last but not least very safe and its made in ENGLAND soooooooooooooooo

DO WE STILL LOVE OUR FFRR OR ARE WE LOSING THE WILL TO LIVE WITH THEM

and considering other brands god forbid Thumbs Up Thumbs Up onto no6 Range Rover

Everyone needs a hobby

Because unfortunately a lot of the motoring journalists are German Fanboys!

and its not a "car" it's a Range Rover.

It'll also be because the average motoring journalist is more interested in how quickly a car can go down a certain 'B' road, rather than the overall experience, let alone its ability to cut it where a 4x4 is supposed to be - off road!!! Regards,

Mick,
If you're that bothered about jouno's and the X5 why do you have a rangie then?

I'm not bothered about journo's or the X5, just pointing out that the "Rangie" has never beaten the X5 In any head to head contest.

And i was only replying to Speedy's question, which although i happen to have a "Rangie" does not mean i wear blinkers were other marques are of interest.

On the reliability stakes of a "Rangie" on a scale of 1 to 10 it borders on a 5.

On the reason why i have a "Rangie" is simple, need to have something big enough to take rubbish to the dump,as the wife won't let me have a van on the driveway.......... Thumbs Up

Styling - Range Rover wins hands down.

On Road ride quality - Range Rover wins (in terms of a pleasant, comfortable ride)

Off Road ride quality Range Rover wins (EAS soaks up the bumps unlike the P38 or the X5)

Off Road Ability - Range Rover wins (I'm sorry but the X5 is just simply not an off roader)

Heritage - Range Rover wins

I'm not really sure why you would post how other cars are superior on this website unless you're just bored and want to stir things up. Quite frankly I find it inappropriate behavior that reflects poorly upon your character rather than the RR. Whistle !

Love my RR?

I will be buying another FFRR, my 5th RR and 15th Land Rover vehicle - never owned a car or any other make. If a non RR owner needed to ask why, it would be pointless trying to explain - they would never understand Cool

Although I like the looks of the 2010 RRS and the D4 more than the 2010 FFRR, my next car will certainly be another FFRR (Though not a 2010MY just yet! Big Cry )

I've had 3 Range Rovers over time, and my dad has had every variant since about 1974 so I know them pretty well.

I wouldn't feel 'special' driving an X5, I'm sure it would cope with the mild off roading I do on our shoot but the heavier stuff would leave it with it's pants round its ankles.

Our friends came up from Brighton for the weekend and we took them out for dinner Saturday night in the FFRR, he was amazed it had done 85K and was 4 yrs old, he said it felt like a new car and every single time I am out in it, people stop and look at it as you drive past. It has a presence that no other 4WD has. I was out Saturday morning taking the pheasants to the pens with the trailer, through woods, muddy tracks, fields (everywhere boggy) and one of the guys who rode with me in my car said "What would you do without a Range Rover?". Sums it up nicely. Discovery 4 HSE
